"It isn't reality that you see..." Session 2, Chapter 3
As TK lifted the card up, the door in front of here was glowing. She gulped. "Okay, time to go." she said, before walking into the door. In a split second, she was on a huge church pedestal. "Wait, where am I?" she asked. The same man's haunting voice came into her focus. "You are standing on the Station of Remembrance, but it isn't reality that you see." he said. TK looked straight behind her, but he wasn't there. The enigma returned to the back of her. "This world is an illusion concieved by your memories engraved in those cards." he added. "My... memories?" the tiger-girl asked. She looked at her hand. Her Keyblade was gone. "What happened to my sword? Tell me!" she requested. "It is at the mercy of the cards now. Master them and it's strength will be yours again." he said, before starting a battle.
The two were in a brawl. "The laws of this castle require that your memories to be transformed into cards. If you value them, you will pick them up without fail. Now attack." the hooded man said. TK did so. The man dropped a card. She picked it up. "Cards you pick up are added to the top of your stack. Use them, and their power will come to your aid." he said. TK used a card, and caused her to attack. "Now, the cards that you use will vanish, but they will reappear to aid you time, and time again. Cards are the hearts of your memories. Everything in this castle are ruled by cards. Whether an enemy or a door stands in your way, cards are the only way to proceed. But you mustn't forget your own strength. First, think for yourself. Move, then use the cards." he said. TK attacked for about a couple of seconds, the man guarding himself from her attacks.
"Good. Every move you make causes a card to disappear. If you use up all your cards, you will be unable to act. But there is a solution. Keep using cards until you run out and I will show you." the man said. TK attacled for only about thirty seconds, then her cards ran out. "There. You have no more cards, and without them, no power. If you want that power back, you must focus. Bid the cards return to you... and they will." he said. TK held her hand over her heart, and her cards returned to her. "The strength of your heart brought back the lost cards. You can recall spent cards at any time...you only need to wish it. But each time you do, the cards will take longer to return. The cards are by no means, unlimited. Use them wisely. Anticipate the flow of battle and choose the most effective cards. You may use any card in your deck." he continued. TK was shuffling her cards to find the highest value, being one nine. "The four card types you use in battle are grouped into two wider categories. The first includes attack cards, magic cards, and item cards. The second category entirely consists of enemy cards. To use cards of a different category..." he paused. TK changed the category of her deck, but no cards were there. "You have no cards of that category, but those cards will enpower you whether you are attacking or defending. But it is your decision when to attack or defend. Do not forget it." he stopped with his speech. The battle ended.
"For the things in the castle is for you to ponder. Master the cards and make your way through the castle. From here on, you walk alone." he said. "You want me to go alone? Fine, I can take care of myself!" TK replied. "Hmmph... the hero speaks boldly. Go then the rest of Castle Oblivion awaits. Walk the avenues of latent memory, and you shall meet someone dear to you." he finally said before disappearing. "For some reason, I have a really bad feeling about this." she said to herself. "Okay, so all I have to do is use a card in front of that door over there." she continued her monologue. The heroine obtained the Key of Beginnings, and opened the door with the card. She continued on to her memories.
Session 2, Chapter 4
"Hey, I'm becoming good at this card thing." TK said, talking positive about herself. "Think like that, and you're as good as the Heartless fodder." a familiar voice said. "Huh..." Tk replied. Her best friend, a wolf, and a Keyblade bearer with the x-shaped scar over his eyes, Sora walked towards her. "Sora... What are you doing in Castle Oblivion?" she asked, surprised that she would meet him here. "Castle Oblivion. What are you talking about? This is the Station of Remembrance. And how do you know my name?" he said. "I never saw you before in my life." he continued. "Sora, quit playing! You're my friend. You know that!" she replied to that statement. "Look, I don't know what you're talking about. I don't even know your name." he said. "Wait, you don't?" she asked. "Sorry." he replied. "I can't believe it. How could have you forgotten about me?" she asked, almost on the verge of tears. "Hey don't cry. I feel for you, but you have the wrong guy. Happens all the time, don't take it personally TK." Sora continued. "Wait, you DO know my name!" TK said, awestruck. "Now, now hold on! Why do I know your name?" Sora asked, awestruck as well. "You're probably playing." TK replied. "Hey! You're probably the one that's..." Sora, said, but paused by TK. "Hey!" "I don't get it. What's happened to my memory?" Sora asked. "Well, I don't know, but I might as well join you. But, follow me first. And be careful, there are still Heartless wandering through here. I'd better teach you how to protect yourself in battle." he said, before taking out his Keyblade. Another brawl was stirring.
"See the number printed on your cards? They range from zero to nine. Higher numbers mean stronger cards. If you and your enemy both play a card at the same time, the higher card wins. Go on, try it out." Sora said. TK attacked, and cards broke in her own wimsy. "See how it works? Playing a card higher than your opponent's and breaking through their defenses is called a 'card break.' Playing a lower card results in your attack being deflected. Even powerful cards can be deflected if the enemy's card is higher. Whoever is on the losing side of a break is left wide open to attacks. Don't let that person be you." he paused to catch his breath. "Cards with zero as their value are special. No matter what card an enemy plays, you can break it with a zero card, but you have to wait until the enemy plays their card. If you play the zero card too early, the eneny can break the card with any card they play. In other words, it's the most powerful card if it comes last, and useless if it comes first. Try to make the most of it. Card values also effect the cost of assembling a deck. Keep that in mind." he paused again. "Now, it's time to teach you how to stock cards. You don't have to use battle cards one at a time. You can also assemble three cards nd use them all at once. This is called 'stocking' cards. Stocking cards and using them in trios are much stronger than using the cards individually. Go ahead, stock any three cards in your deck.. Remember, you need three cards or it won't work." Sora said. TK took a three, an eight and a seven. "The sum of your three stocked cards becomes the value you play. The value is usually high, and the combo attack deals a lot of damage. Don't hold back. Show me what you can do." Sora said. TK used her combo attack. "Combo attacks aren't the only benefit of stocking cards. Choose your cards carefully, and you can unleash special abilites called 'sleights.' They come in all varieties, and each come in its own unique card combination. You should try it out once you've collected more cards, and learned a sleight or two. But keep one thing in mind. Everytime you use a sleight, you lose the first catd you used for it. You can't reload it, and it can't return until the end of the battle. Relying heavily on sleights will cause your cards to run out. That means trouble." he said fianlly before the battle ending.
"Think you have the hang of it TK?" Sora asked. "Yeah, more or less. I'll pick up the rest once I get in a real battle." TK said. "Here, I found this lying around. Take it." Sora said, holding a set of cards, and throing them to TK. "Remember what I said, and make good use to it. Now let's go... What?!" Sora said, the ground now shaking. "Ya ready, TK?" Sora asked, while a huge armored Heartless came onto the platform. "Yeah! Let's cream this guy." TK said as she started to attack. "Be careful... well, you know what they say. When you can't beat them, join them." Sora said, also starting to attack. The Guard Armor was kind of tough for TK, but not for Sora. "Just keep on attacking!" he said. TK did what she was told. She attacked in a frenzy, and pretty soon, the Heartless was gone. It dropped an enemy card that she picked up. "Hey, let's get out of here." Sora said, walking towards the world exit. "Ok." TK replied following him. One floor down twelve more to go.....
